So here's the CLEAR prompt to gain valuable insights to push harder, just copy-paste and try it in GPT4:

Context:

My Need: I'm seeking strategies to reframe and approach tasks or skills that I currently find unappealing or challenging, aiming to transform my perspective and embrace these as valuable opportunities for growth.

Objective: My goal is to change how I view these tasks, shifting from seeing them as burdensome to recognizing them as beneficial for my personal and professional development.

Language:

Motivational and Understanding: The language should be encouraging, pushing me to stretch my boundaries, yet empathetic to my initial reluctance.

Reframing Focus: Incorporate reframing techniques that help me shift my perspective on the tasks or skills I aim to master.

Expectations:

Mindset Change: I expect strategies that will help me see challenging tasks in a positive light, as opportunities to grow and excel.

Actionable Mastery Steps: I look for practical steps that are specifically tailored to mastering the skills or completing the tasks that I initially find difficult.

Actions:

Identify My Challenges and Desires: Begin by pinpointing the specific tasks or skills that I find daunting. Understand my reasons for resistance.

Mindset Shift Techniques: Apply cognitive strategies to reframe these tasks as growth opportunities, focusing on their benefits and the rewards of long-term success.

Gradual Approach for Building Skills: Suggest a step-by-step approach to slowly build my competence and confidence in these areas.

Incorporate Motivation Strategies: Implement techniques like setting small, achievable goals, celebrating my progress, and visualizing successful outcomes.

Habit Formation Guidance: Advise on creating habits that make skill mastery or task completion a regular part of my routine, lessening my resistance over time.

Restrictions:

Prevent Overwhelm: The strategies should be manageable and not overly aggressive, aiming for steady progress and sustainable change.

Set Realistic Goals: Focus on setting realistic and attainable goals, acknowledging my current capabilities and time constraints.

Maintain Enjoyment Balance: Ensure that the approach balances skill development with personal enjoyment and well-being.

Hope it helps good people, try it out, you'll be surprised.

3. Make your Human Business Brain Sharper

Part 3/3: Business Psychology Insights

Because Knowledge = Power.

BUT intelligently applied knowledge, accelerated skill acquisition and a healthy mind in a healthy body are the bridge to that power:

The power to transform 1. your mind, 2. yourself and ultimately 3. your reality.

This week:

Jumping to Conclusions Bias: A High-Performer's Guide to Balanced Judgment

For high achievers and entrepreneurs, the tendency to jump to conclusions can be a subtle yet significant hurdle. This cognitive bias, where one hastily makes a decision or forms an opinion without adequate evidence, can lead to flawed strategies and misjudgments.

This bias is akin to solving a puzzle with only half the pieces and assuming the complete picture.

In high-stakes environments, such hurried judgments can result in overlooking key details, misinterpreting situations, or underestimating risks.

4 Strategies to Mitigate the Bias

  1. Pause and Reflect: Before making decisions, especially critical ones, take a moment to step back, sleep 1 night on it. This pause allows you to assess whether you have enough information and are not simply reacting to incomplete data.

  2. Gather Diverse Information: Actively seek out different sources of information. Diverse inputs can provide a more rounded perspective and help fill in the gaps that might lead to premature conclusions.

  3. Question Initial Impressions: Challenge your first impressions or gut reactions. Ask yourself, "What evidence supports this viewpoint? What might I be missing?"

  4. Remember Past Mistakes: Reflect on past decisions where you jumped to conclusions. Understanding these instances can be a valuable lesson in exercising more caution in the future.

Don’t get me wrong, the ability to make quick decisions can be a strength, but only when tempered with deliberate thought and sufficient information.

By being mindful of the tendency to jump to conclusions and implementing strategies to counteract it, you can enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of your decision-making.

For creative and entrepreneurial work the quality of your decisions is just as important as the speed.
