Here are 5 concise, to the point tips, that helped me in my career to keep my composure and deliver top solutions, in high stakes, high stress environments:

1. Recognize and Label:

Understand that emotions are data, not directives. Identify what you're feeling. Is it stress, excitement, frustration? Naming the emotion reduces its ambiguity and power over you.

2. Respond, Don't React:

High performers know the difference. Reactions are immediate and often emotional. Responses are considered and rational. Pause before you act.

3. Detach from Outcomes:

Focus on your actions, not the results. You control the effort, not the outcome. This mindset reduces anxiety and increases performance.

4. Feedback, Not Failure:

Every result is feedback. Learn from both success and failure. Detach emotions from outcomes and focus on the learning each experience brings.

5. Energy Management:

Your emotional state affects your energy. Manage it wisely. High energy often equals positive emotions, which boosts performance.

Mastering business emotions isn't about suppression. I did this mistake for many years. it lead me to become unspontaneous and cold, and my colleagues told me this.

It's about understanding, managing, and leveraging the emotions to your advantage.
